Hello!
Hi everyone! My name is Trey Downs and I'm a 19-year-old photographer, videographer, and graphic designer born and raised in Idaho. I graduated from Skyview High School in 2023, and I am now enrolled at the College of Western Idaho pursuing a Media Arts degree.
My Story
During my senior year of high school, as the basketball season rolled in, a friend from the team approached me with an intriguing question: to capture photos and record their games. Eager to explore my interest in photography and videography, I agreed. After recording the first game, I found myself compelled to create my first highlight video.
Despite lacking any prior experience with editing programs, I embraced the challenge and persevered, crafting the video. To my astonishment, the video gained 8,000 views within just two days on Instagram. It was at that moment that my passion for media ignited.
Fuelled by this newfound love, I immersed myself in the world of sports coverage, attending game after game. Armed with determination (and help from tutorials from YouTube), I taught myself the ins and outs of video editing. The recognition began to pour in, motivating me to push further.
Through a series of side gigs, internships, and professional opportunities, I navigated my way to where we stand today. Each experience has been a stepping stone in my journey, solidifying my commitment to this new passion.
